I feel it is only proper to give credit to ~s31415 because I have been studying and playing with the parameters I downloaded from his website [link] If you haven't checked out his work, I certainly recommend that you do as I am certainly in awe of his amazing talent.

This looks like a game board of some kind...checkers for the 22nd millennium perhaps?

I like the look of inlaid wood.

Bless me with the courage to change the things I can change, the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people who were too stupid to be allowed to live.

Love the colors and textures...just one teensy critique, I think the spheres would stand out a bit more if there was a shinier highlight and a shadow underneath. I like that you added the sphere in the bottom left to draw the eye around, that was a nice touch.

Btw...love your new avatar. :)

I like the look of inlaid wood too, especially the hint of 3D pieces on the background ~ these being irregularly arranged makes it interesting to explore the whole surface. The central dark shape is pretty cool too! All in all a very interesting piece.

I support NNTR - no need to reply or thank me for every comment, reply or fave... use the time to create more beautiful art instead!

Thanks, Kat. I had started with more wood texture but when I added the SFBM II, I thought it looked like stamped suede.

Shadows, why didn't I think of that? I tried different colors, different sizes, moving them but I didn't think of shadows.

I appreciate your critique and your lovely compliments as well as the :+fav:.

Thanks, Chris. I used the Kaleidoscope transform on the SFBM II layer to move the "stamped" shapes into a less uniform pattern. :)

Thanks, Kirsty. There are some of us who are sure these somehow got set as the "default" colors in our version of UF. :D
